Fairview Cares is a philanthropy initiative set up by the Fairview School District. Fairview Cares was first started as a cancer donation drive in 2013 by then Fairview High School junior Hayden Elliott as a school project. Since then, Fairview Cares has not only supported Erie's Regional Cancer Center, but other beneficiaries as well. Fairview Cares collects donations year round. The conclusion of the year long effort is Fairview Cares week. The week caps off with a walk around the track at Jack Bestwick Stadium, with students and faculty members of all three schools in the district participating.
